bmibaby still number one for on time performance

Low cost airline, bmibaby remains in the number one position for on time performance for 2009.  The results, taken from www.flightontime.info, show that bmibaby was the most punctual low cost carrier for the period January to June 2009, with 84.5 per cent of flights departing within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure time.

Flightontime.info uses data provided by the Civil Aviation Authority to monitor the on time performance of airlines.

During the period January to June 2009 the average on time performance result for low cost carriers was 77.6 per cent for flights departing within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure time, showing that bmibaby has well exceeded the industry average.
